Where Is Chamorita And How Do You Get Here?
Chamorita is located in Biliran Province, Philippines located in Barangay Catmon, Biliran Philippines conveniently located halfway between Biliran Town and Naval, the capital of Billiran, right off the National Highway on the shores of Biliran Straits. Chamorita can easily be reached via a well paved highway from Taclobon, the capital of Leyte, or Ormoc, a seaport city in Leyte.
There are three normal routes to Biliran if you don’t have your own transportation:
1. Fly into Taclobon from Manila. Once in Taclobon you can either ride a private van, which are available at the airport, (this is the most expensive, rates are negotiable with the driver), or you may opt to go to the Taclobon Terminal and get an air conditioned van to Naval. (least expensive, current rates are 150 peso per person) For all resort guests, with advance notice Chamorita now offers private vehicle transportation, with driver, from or to Taclobon airport. 2. Fly into Cebu and take a ferry or the Supercat Ferry to Ormoc. The ferry takes approximately 6 hours and trips are usually scheduled to leave late at night and arrive early in the morning in Ormoc. The Supercat takes about 2 hours and has 3 trips daily from Cebu to Ormoc. Once in Ormoc take a van to Naval. Note: If traveling by Supercat you can buy discounted van tickets from JD Van Lines at the Supercat waiting area in Cebu. JD Vans leave directly from the Supercat terminal in Ormoc. Van trips from Ormoc and Taclobon take about 2 hours.
3. Fly to Cebu and take the Roble Shuttle from Cebu to Naval. Trip takes about 6 hours and is twice a week and leaves Cebu late in the evening.
